People are listening in Greenland. People are listening in South Africa, in the Democratic

Republic of Congo, in Mongolia, in Ukraine, in Sweden, in Spain, in Australia, all over

as we're going through this study on joy that we're doing leading up to the Christmas

holiday. Today, we're going to be talking about joy that comes from taking refuge in God.

And the passage we're going to be looking at is Psalm chapter 5, verse number 11. So if

you have a Bible handy, I invite you to take it out and look at this passage with me.

The Psalmist David writes, but let all who take refuge in you rejoice. So it's God he's

speaking to. Let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them ever sing for joy and spread

your protection over them that those who love your name may exalt in you. The David is

pointing out that there is a reality to our lives that we often don't see because we're

so enamored and caught up with the things that are going on around us, the physical dangers

and pressures and stresses of life that can crowd out our understanding of this reality.
