The Apostle John lifted up his eyes to heaven and God gave him a glimpse of why the universe exists, and he wrote it down so that we could know, so that you could know.

He wrote,

I saw in heaven a scroll written within and on the back and it had seven seals.

And I looked and I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals.

And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to break its seals.

And I began to weep, loudly, that no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to break its seals.

And one of the elders said to me,

Weep no more.

The lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered

and he is able to open the scroll and to break its seals.

And I looked and saw between the throne and the living creatures and among the

elders a lamb standing as though it had been slain with seven horns and seven eyes that are the spirits of God sent out into all the world.

And he went and he took the scroll from the hand of him who is seated on the throne.

And when he took the scroll from the hand of the one who is seated on the throne,

the living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of all the Saints. And they sang a new song, saying,

worthy are you, for you were slain and you ransom people for God from every tribe and tongue and people

and nation and have made them a kingdom and priest to our God and they shall reign on the earth.

And I looked and I saw around the throne. Angels numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of

thousands saying with a loud voice,

worthy as the Lamb who is slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and might and glory and blessing.

And I heard every creature in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and in the sea and all that is in them saying to him who sits upon

the throne and to the lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever and the living and
