On today's program Joyce will be teaching from her series Joy and Enjoyment.

There is a way to enjoy everything we do, even while driving in traffic

or cleaning up the house. Because if we have Jesus, we have joy. Now here's

Joyce with today's teaching. First Peter 5-8 in the Amplified Bible says,

be well-balanced, for your adversary the devil roams about like a lion roaring and

fierce hunger seeking whom he may devour. So it looks to me like even

just being out of balance opens a door for the enemy. You know what happens if you

work all the time and you never enjoy yourself?

You start getting bitter and you get a chip on your shoulder and you get mad at everybody else

that's not working as hard as you are. Come on.

I used to get so mad at Dave because he was happy and I wasn't.

He just annoyed me no end

because whatever Dave did he was going to enjoy it. I can remember going

to the grocery store with him and at that time we had three kids we didn't have a

lot of money so it was a pretty intense thing. I had a list and we had $70 for every two weeks of groceries and coupons, and I mean I'm trying to do all this with the couponing and the calculator and trying to get the groceries and

Dave would go over in another aisle and he's tall so he could see me and he'd throw

toilet paper over there. And then he chased the kids around with a grocery cart.

And they'd be screaming,

God eat out of there!

And oh, I would be so mad by the time I got out of that story
