Today we will talk about three films now screened on the Planet Classroom Network YouTube channel.

The Mass, Addiction and Art, Spotlight on Dopamine, and Throw.

All three explore obstacles or well-being challenges people can face in their daily lives.

We will discuss some of the coping strategies that might help to overcome them.

In The Mass, directed by Dorothy Allen Picard, audiences meet Elise, a strong woman

who recounts her arduous experiences with bipolar disorder,

in mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings, which include emotional highs and lows.

I suppose I sort of think about it as if there are loads of different versions of me,

sort of the rational Ellis, which is the real one, and then the main year, and then the low,

and then the extreme versions of those.

And when you slip into one of the other, you just lose sight of the rational.

It's about remembering that essentially you are normal and you may feel you're constantly up against people who may use your age or your experience to make you feel illegitimate and what you're going through.

But it's really trying not to listen to those and trying to enjoy the good things and the small things in life.
