Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Pauli.

0:13.0

Today we are on a journey through Scripture.

0:16.0

We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.

0:34.2

The minor prophets, for the most part, are fairly brief. That's why they are referred to as minor prophets.

0:41.6

And yet, the prophet we come to today is the longest of the minor prophets. His name is Zachariot.

0:47.6

His name actually means the one Jehovah remembers. Aren't you glad God has promised never to forget you. He remembers you today. I hope you

Chapters 1 through 8 of this book were written during the work on the temple,

1:46.0

and then chapters 9 through 14 were written after its completion.

1:50.0

And so he brings us through this rebuilding process,

1:54.0

this restoration that is going on as the people come back

1:58.0

and the temple is rebuilt after the Babylonian captivity.

2:01.4

Now, as a contemporary of Haggai, though he's slightly younger, he focuses on the same goal,

2:07.3

but they're different. You might say it this way. Haggai was the realist.

2:11.4

Zachariah was the visionary. Haggai in many ways focused on the material aspects of building
