| 0:43.4 | In our journey through scripture, we've come to one of my favorite books of the Bible. It's the little book of Ruth in the Old Testament. |

| 0:52.1 | I think it's very interesting, but Esther was a Jewish girl. |

| 1:02.5 | Ruth is a Gentile girl who married a Jew and extended the promise line. |
| 1:06.3 | And so both of them find their way into this beautiful story of the coming of Messiah. |
| 1:13.4 | Oh, it's wonderful that he comes to the Jew, but it's to the Jew first and also to the Greek. |

| 1:29.0 | we're all made one in Christ, it's an Esther or you're a Ruth, whether you're a Jew or Gentile were all made one in Christ, |
| 1:38.1 | it's an amazing book. Now Ruth was a Moabitus girl, and she was a young lady that never would have known God except for grace. |

| 2:01.4 | So the whole story fits right into the setting of the last book, the time of the judges. |
