Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Pauli.

0:13.0

Today we are on a journey through Scripture.

0:16.0

We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.

0:32.1

Many years ago, I was traveling in Jordan. We were training preachers of the Word of God. It was an amazing time.

0:40.5

And before I left the country, the Jordanian pastor that was hosting me said, I want to show you a few of the sites.

0:46.3

And so he took me one afternoon. My father was with me. We had an amazing afternoon. He took me to a famous place known as Petra.

0:54.1

I had heard of Petra, of course, for years, but I was not prepared for what I was about to see.

When we arrived, there was an enormous rock face with a very small opening, a place to enter in, a pathway of sorts.

1:35.0

where markets would have been set up, wares would have been sold, and then we came around a

1:39.8

corner. And when we came around a corner, up in front of us, as high as you could see, was an enormous

1:46.8

temple face. I'd never seen anything like it in my life. Oh, perhaps I had, because in some old

1:52.5

movies, this particular temple face has been used, but I'd never been to anything like it.

1:59.0

We walked out to the temple, and then when we looked to our right,

2:02.7

as far as the eye could see, was a huge rock city. There were people taking rides on donkeys and

2:10.1

mules up the side of this rock face, up the cliffs. There were houses and buildings cut out in

2:16.2

the face of the rock. It was an amazing experience.

2:20.3

I discovered that the place where I was standing was the city, the place that the book of Obadiah is all about.

2:28.3

We're journeying through the Old Testament and we've come now to one page, that's right. One page in your Bible. One little chapter known as
