0:13.0	Today we are on a journey through Scripture.
0:16.0	We hope you'll join us as we make 66 stops through each book of the Word of God.
0:36.6	God is so very good to give us faithful ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
0:41.9	I am a minister, but let me testify as a Christian from Holman, as a church member.
0:46.8	I'm so grateful for faithful pastors that I've been under.
0:50.5	People that have loved the Lord, loved me, and taught me the truth. And I want to reiterate,
0:56.3	as we are studying through the pastoral epistles right now, that you ought to praise the
1:00.8	Lord for your minister. Second Timothy is the book we've come to today, and in many respects,
1:06.7	it addresses so many aspects of the minister's life. Chapter 1 talks about the minister's confidence
1:13.1	in God. Chapter 2 talks about the minister's conduct. Chapter 3 talks about the minister's
1:18.9	continuing. And chapter 4 talks about the minister's crown. So yes, you can study 2nd Timothy
1:24.8	from the minister's perspective. But I would remind you that 2 Timothy, though it was written to a minister,
1:32.4	was not just for ministers, it was for all of God's people.
1:36.7	As a matter of fact, the key verse of the book is found in 2 Timothy, chapter 3 and verse 16.
1:43.0	Actually, verse 16 and 17. Let me me just read it all scripture is given by
1:47.5	inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof for correction for instruction and
1:55.7	righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2:01.5	Now, that's not just for the minister, it's for all those he ministers to.
2:05.7	I need the Word of God. You need the Word of God.
2:09.3	It's the only all-sufficient thing we have outside the person of Christ himself.
2:13.8	It's profitable. We need doctrine. We need to be reproved. We need to be corrected. We need to be instructed in righteousness. We need to be perfected and matured. How does it happen? It happens through the Word of God. Now, 2 Timothy is Paul's last letter. They say that a man's last words are most significant. Well, that's especially true for someone writing
