Elizabeth, a brave survivor, peels back the layers of her life, recounting her ongoing battle with opioid dependence fueled by a devastating assault. Through her narrative, we shine a stark light on the often-unspoken stigma attached to addiction and the harrowing realities faced by survivors of abuse. From within the bleak confines of America's prison system, emerges a tale of resilience and redemption. Our guest shares her powerful story of losing it all in a desperate bid to shield her children from a dangerous ex-partner, only to find herself ensnared in the cold steel grip of incarceration. But, the human spirit is indomitable. In the face of adversity, we hear of a woman who turned prison walls into canvases of creativity, launching a successful brand. We delve into stories of misdiagnosis and the urgent need for empathy and understanding in our society.
