0:11.0	And today we are talking about the news that many people will know by now that Max was recently arrested.
0:17.0	This was in connection with a protest that occurred at the Venezuelan embassy in Washington, D.C.
0:24.6	five months ago. Max was arrested on a five-month-old charge.
0:28.6	He was held for 36 hours without being able to speak to a lawyer.
0:34.6	And now he is out and talking about his case, but there is limited
0:38.3	information in what he can say because the case is still ongoing. With that, Max Blumenthal,

0:46.3	Thanks, Aaron. And thanks everyone for all the solidarity and support that you've shown me and that you've shown the other, that you've shown embassy protectors who are also facing trials.
1:03.0	You know, I'm doing okay. I'm pretty, I'm pretty fatigued right now.
1:09.0	But I'm really encouraged by all the support I've gotten from so many quarters.
1:14.2	And, you know, I'm totally confident about my case because it's based on a phony, bogus trumped-up,
1:24.4	and that's with a capital T trumpeded up, mendacious fabrication of a lie.
1:33.4	And there is absolutely baseless.
1:36.3	The charge against me is absolutely baseless.
1:39.1	And I think everybody out there understands that.
1:43.7	And so for anyone who's not familiar, basically, there was a protest at the Venezuelan embassy.
1:51.0	After the Trump administration, which you mentioned, started a coup in Venezuela.
1:57.0	Venezuelan diplomats were ordered out of the country.
2:00.0	The government of Venezuela offered the embassy to Code Pink and asked the Code Pink group to protect
2:05.6	it.
2:07.1	This happened back in the spring in April and May.
