TXA has been widely adopted as a miracle drug in emergency medicine, but there have been some highly publicized and somewhat controversial studies over the last few years, like the woman

trial and the crash three. One of the major concepts we've discussed on the journal

gem is that prior probability matters. When assessing a

trial, your interpretation should be shaped by the science that's already available, right?

Yes, exactly. So when I'm trying to figure out how to interpret a semi-controversial study,

something like Crash 3, I find it's really helpful to take a deep dive into all of the available evidence on the topic. And so in this case, TXA. Right. So that's our goal here. We're going to look at all the different indications for TXA and review the available evidence. And we hope this is going to be valuable for each indication. So should you be using TXA for epistaxis, postpartum hemorrhage, hemoptosis? We'll look at the

evidence for each one of those. But I think more importantly, at least in my eyes, is we want to get

a broader understanding of this drug. Is TXA a miracle drug that cures everything? Or has it been

drastically overhyped? Was crashed to enough to be definitive?
