This is the Bible Book Club, and we're in the book of Joshua.

Well, last episode was an exciting one because it was all about conquering Canaan.

A southern alliance of Canaanite cities formed and tried to take Gibbyan back But Joshua was faithful. He learned his lessons and then God was powerful. He brought a hailstorm, killed more Canaanites than the Israelites even killed. But then God stopped the sun so that Israel had more time to pursue the fleeing army and also so that he could show his god was more powerful than their

gods. And Joshua continued south, conquering even more territory. And then the northern

territory organized, formed a formidable alliance with chariots and horses. And it was reminiscent of
