I'm joined by Josh Taylor, the recently retired Josh Taylor, which the end of his career, I feel for him.

And he's still sort of, he's still hurting more in the pain of having to retire than reveling in the glory of what he's achieved.

So my heart goes out to him.

Anyone who's listened to this podcast for a long period of time will know that retirement is very hard. It's very hard to

accept letting go. And I speak to fighters about it often. And it must be even harder when it comes

out of nowhere and you feel physically good and near your prime. My heart goes out to Josh. It's a really

horrible position to be in because, you know, he's achieved so much. He's literally done it all. He's completed the game. He's got the full collection of everything that you could hope to win. But he's not able to go out on his own terms. So I kind of get where he's struggling from and where he understands that he might face a struggle moving forward.

But he will have and does have a lot to look forward to in life.

It's also sat. You know, I was with Josh around the Essamon fight. We spent a bit time together pre-fight.

In fact, we sat and ate each

each other during the way in as well and I think on the Thursday maybe we sat on the banks of the

river that cuts through Glasgow and um had a long conversation and you know the end was not in sight
