Today on the show, Josh Porter.

I think he's one of the most interesting frontmen of our scene,

and he's of this particular type whose spirit of rebellion resonates across many mediums,

one of which, Ben Showbred's music. But Josh connects with people

in lots of ways. And they're set at Furnace Fest last year seemed to be a testament to how deeply

connected their fans really are. And this podcast spends a lot of time analyzing the musical

and the relational and the professional choices that bands make. But I'm often asked why I don't get more into people's faith on the podcast,

given that it's such a central theme.

I think sometimes it's an organic thing to come up,

and sometimes certain people just have a more inherent energy toward the spiritual things.

And I think Josh Porter is one of those people.

And in this case, he has a new book called

Death to Deconstruction, and it just seemed like an ideal opportunity to have more of a spiritual

based conversation and give more of a perspective of how Josh's mind works. So I hope you'll

You've been doing a bunch of interviews and press on this, on this book. I have, yeah.

I think it's really fascinating. I mean, I'm, you know, to me, this whole territory to know people for 20 years that are still

interested in similar topics and have, although they change and modify and everything, have the same kind of interest and a trajectory

that's not fixed, but still on some path that is consistent for 20 plus years.
