Police say Joshua Harmon was beaten and strangled, then buried in the woods in Roswell.

Now 31 years later to the day, the case remains unsolved, and the eight-year-old's killer remains on the run.

her son Joshua can finally help police find that person responsible.

Joshua deserves for the people to know someone hurt him.

Eight-year-old Joshua Harmon was an adventurous boy who loved nature, animals, and playing outdoors.

On May 15, 1988, in the woods where he'd play, police found his body. He was beaten and strangled.

Some days, I don't even want to get out of bed. Not knowing is what kills you.

Mother, Sherry Harmon, is now 64 years old and has stage four cancer. She will always feel the

pain of losing her son. As his mother, I deserve to know who did this and why.

That's when my world stopped.

31 years ago to the day at the old Roundtree Apartments off Raintree Drive,

Joshua was playing outside and didn't come home for dinner.

No one could find him.

For two days, police, fire crews and volunteers searched for him.

Cruz found him under dirt, pinesdra, and logs. His mother says someone removed all his clothes.

Decades later, the murderer roams free. Maybe he's out there doing this to other children.
