Thank you. Heartbreak. That's the nothing personal word of the day. It is Monday, September 8th,

2025. Week one of the NFL season is just about in the books. One more game. The weeks all melt

together. This week started Thursday. It's already Monday. And by the way, week two starts in three days.

Heartbreak is how everybody feels watching Sunday nights game, who's a Baltimore Ravens fan.

It was the game of the weekend. It is hard to argue that.

Once you got done watching a day of football, which we'll talk about a day of baseball,

which was fascinating, a day of tennis, which was quite staggeringly fun to watch. You sit down,

you get ready for a game, and you go into a Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Bill's Ravens' grudge

match to the death

knowing that someone's going to come out of this with heartbreak.

What an amazing thing sports is

when you have the situation where it's so binary.

If you're neutral, you didn't watch the game or you don't care, then you're not a

football fan. If you're a football fan, you're watching that game. If you have no investment in

the outcome, that means you don't play fantasy, you're not betting on the game, you're not a fan

of a team that they compete against in their division.

However, let's say you're just an NFC person,

then maybe you can watch the game and not feel heartbreak

if you are a Baltimore Ravens fan.

But I don't see it.

I don't see the path.

When you read about statistics that define the unlikely, it's very much confirmation bias because,
