both enjoying some time off but I was lucky enough to get my buddy, Joseph Zakshefsky,

the wonderful play-by-play announcer, media guy,

man of many hats for our Rockford Heightshogs that joins us

before he heads out on a vacation too.

Everybody's leaving this week,

and it was almost me sitting here staring at you for an hour,

but thank God,

It's good to be here. Thank you. Yeah, this is kind of the last hour off for everybody in the

hockey sports community, front office staff, everybody. I mean, Labor Day is kind of the,

you know, everybody goes back to school and, you know, people kind of get back to the group, start turning their attention to fall weather and

fall plans.

And it's, I mean, it's no different for hockey.

I mean, basically after Labor Day, you're about a week and a half, two weeks away from

training camp getting rolling.

You also get stuff going on with prospect tournaments, like the Tom tom curvers one coming up here for the

chicago black hawks and and uh so yeah it's you got to get out because for a lot of us that

you know that that that wake up and and live at the rink all day you know it's for your family

it's you know i'll see you maybe a quick pause at the holidays maybe a quick pause for all-star break
