When the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

unshaken. This is our second episode for this 2021 come follow me year of the

Doctor in Covenants and the fact that you're back for more is a good sign. I used to joke with my Institute students

that when they come back for the second class it always feels like a second date to me

which means that the first date must have gone good enough that they're coming back

for more. As one who has had more first date must have gone good enough that they're coming back for more.

As one who has had more first dates than second dates throughout life,

that's always a relief to me.

So I'm grateful for your response to the first lesson from the Doctor in Covenants and now this second one

we're actually shifting from the Doctor in Covenants to the Pearl Great Price as we

study the life of Joseph Smith at least the part regarding the first vision the

first 26 verses of Joseph Smith history. Now last week we talked about

going Joseph Smith's transition from a translator to a revelator, translating

ancient scripture in the Book of Mormon to revealing new scripture in the Doctor in Covenants.

But what we see today in Joseph Smith history is in some ways more of the prophetic role

that it's his life and not just his teachings that are worth being canonized.

So often through the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, its narrative, it's stories.
