I'm Chanley Painter and this is the Fox True Crime podcast. On March 18th, the Duggar family's dark history repeated itself when Joseph Dugger, the seventh oldest child of the 19 kids and counting clan, was taken into custody in Tontatown, Arkansas.

Joseph, a 31-year-old former reality TV star,

is currently facing extradition to Florida to confront charges of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a child under 12. The accusations stem from a 2020 family vacation to Panama City Beach, where investigators say a then-9-year-old girl was repeatedly molested under the guise of family time.

The legal turmoil expanded rapidly from the Florida Panhandle back to northwest Arkansas.

Just days after Joseph's initial arrest, his wife, Kendra Dugger, was also booked into the Washington County Detention Center.

The couple now faces a string of new joint charges in Arkansas, including four counts, each of

second degree endangering the welfare of a minor,

and four counts of false imprisonment.
