You know God loves his son so much that he wants to give us many snapshots, many portraits of him.

And God wants us to be saved so much that he gives us so many illustrations of salvation.

Now, you would have to be deaf, blind, and dumb not to see an illustration and a picture

of Jesus Christ, our dear Savior in the life of Joseph.

Joseph goes through all kinds of ignominy shame.

All kinds of terrible, horrible things happen to him, but by the providence of God and the hand of God is upon him and God takes him from the pit and from the prison and God exalts him and gives him a name which is above every name.

What a picture of our dear Savior Jesus.

practicing the presence of God from the Book of Genesis. It's a study in the life of Joseph.

Today's message, Joseph, a portrait of Jesus, part two. We'll be looking at of

Genesis chapter 37. That's right and you can go back and catch up on part one or catch up

on all the messages in this series at lw f.org or the my lw f app. You know Adrian Rogers was a strong believer that all of the Bible was about

the Lord Jesus Christ. There's a great Adrianism that goes, if you read the Bible and you don't see Jesus, you

better go back and reread it because somewhere in the shadows you'll find Jesus.

Boy, I like that. Through his word, God gives us many prophetic portraits of his son, one

being Joseph in the Book of Genesis.

Well, Carrie, as you well know, we used to have Adrian Rogers here in the studio from time to time.

In this particular message, we asked him to elaborate on this idea of Joseph being a type of Christ.

And this is what he had to say.

I don't know of any man in the Bible that really typifies the Lord Jesus Christ more than Joseph.
