But first this morning to Amman in Jordan. Yesterday, thousands took to the streets to

protest against the murder of the Air Force pilot captured by Islamic State militants

in December. The rallies followed the news that

Jordanian warplanes had launched dozens of new airstrikes on IS positions. A

military statement said that terrorist training camps had been hit as well as weapons and ammunition storehouses.

The country's foreign minister, Nasser Judah, warned the operation was just the beginning

of Jordan's retaliation for what he described as a horrific and brutal killing.
