joining me today by far in a way the most excited that I've been to talk to you about a Packers

practice so far. Practice 4 is now officially in the books and there is a ton to go

over. Before we get there, one news and note for the day, I guess if you want to call it one

transaction, Packers did claim center James Empie. He was formerly with the Tennessee Titans.

He was a center out of BYU. He was in the 2022 draft, so not this draft, but the previous draft. Again, claimed off of waivers from the Titans. He was a center out of BYU. He was in the 2022 draft, so not this draft, but the previous

draft. Again, claimed off of waivers from the Titans. They just let him go. 6.3-297 coming out of

college, only a 2.58 RAS guy, a relative athletic score. So only a 25th percentile athlete,

which is not what Green Bay normally likes to do.

They love those high-end athletes, but center is a little bit of an interesting position.

A lot of times high IQ guys can go very, very far.

Apparently, this is a guy that they liked in a variety of different ways.

One of the things that had him stood out as a college prospect, if you're into these sort of

things, PFF had some extremely

high grades on him in college for his, specifically his past protection, but they were very high on

him overall with their grades coming out of college. So he will likely take that Jonathan Garvin

roster spot. Remember, they released him a couple days ago. That roster spot had not been filled.

So this would seemingly be that.
