We break down Packers Bengals. We look ahead to Packers Cardinals and look at where Green Bay kind of stands in this wild NFL season so far where there's some really bad teams. There's not really any great teams. Parody is King. And where does Green Bay kind of come in in that entire conversation? We'll discuss that as well. Before we get there, just a quick reminder, make sure to like, subscribe, comment, give those five-star reviews over on your audio channels. If you're listening there, if you're on YouTube, make sure to get that little notification. Every single time hit the little bell so that every time a new episode comes out, we've got a ton of stuff coming out right now. So make sure you're aware of that. And also, if you are on the audio side, make sure you're getting those automatic downloads as well. Those things help the channel a ton, tell a friend about it. And of course, if you want to check out those Packaday Podcasts, YouTube memberships, you can do so as well. Now let's get to our wonderful conversation with the fantastic Paul Breddle. are being joined now by Paul Breddle, Wisconsin State Journal? Of course, you can find them on social media at Paul underscore Breddle. Paul, it is great to be back chatting with you. We have five games officially in the books. The Packers are 3-1-1 coming up with a nine-point victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. We'll break it all down. But before we get there, how are you doing, my friend? Excellent. Happy to be back. We've got a win to talk about this week. Yeah, it's crazy because it feels like one win in the past month just doesn't feel right for this team, but with a by week, a tie, a random loss to the Browns in there, that's where it's at. So one win in the last month and it is good to be talking about a win, even if it's quote-unquote only a nine-point win against the Bengals. Let's break it all down. As always, Paul, I will start with you. You can go in any direction that you want. What were kind of your key takeaways from this game? Yeah, and I know we'll get into the run game here a little bit. So I'm going to go to the defensive side of the ball. And the performance from the defense in these last two second halves, right, both Dallas, Cincinnati, you find a lot of success moving the ball.

And as always in football, right, such a nuanced game.

2:27.9

There's a lot of contributors to that.

2:29.4

But I want to highlight the turnovers or lack thereof for the Packers because I think that is a big component of it.

2:37.7

In the Dallas game or in this Cincinnati game, if one of those possessions ends in a turnover,

2:43.4

I think the complexion of how those games unfold are obviously completely different.

2:48.0

And going into this week five game, the Packers, I believe,

2:51.2

had the second fewest takeaways in the NFL by a defense.

2:55.6

And Jeff Hathley's been asked about this by us pretty regularly this season

2:59.6

because it was such a priority, right?

3:02.1

Talked about through the summer just the emphasis of going after the football,

3:06.3

punching the football.
