Let's talk about Robo. Let's move on to your mate Andy Robbo.

0:03.0

It was a bit different for Robbo when he came in. Obviously it took a little bit more time. Robo wasn't straight in the team straight away. Again, as captain in that moment, what's it like having a player comes in? Doesn't really feed you for a while. He's working through it. How did you help Robo in those situations perhaps? Yeah, with Robo was a bit different. I felt as though he probably just needed a little bit of time to settle in.

For whatever reason, Juergen didn't think he was ready.

0:30.6

So he would be doing stuff, extra stuff on the training ground,

0:35.6

working hard off the, away from the games and stuff,

0:40.3

to basically be ready for whenever he was called at one.

0:43.3

But that period of time would have been tougher, although it's not easy.

0:46.3

Sometimes he wouldn't have been even in the squad, so very, very difficult.

0:52.3

But I think that also would have been a good moment in time for him to

0:57.0

build the resilience and build that hunger and desire to improve and to prove people wrong and

1:06.0

to get in the team. And when I look back, I definitely think that would have helped him. then when he was in the team he never looked back from that point really

1:15.6

I was going to say that really from a guy who's struggling to get in the team to become one of the best left backs in the world and it felt like it happened pretty quickly as well as he was in the team and before you know it he's playing every game and yeah within a year, Liverpool are competing for trophies straight away with Robbo so

1:29.6

did that surprise you how quickly that went from down here to to that level? Yeah, um,

1:38.0

looking back maybe but at the time I just felt as though everybody was on it. You know, everybody was in training was on it.

1:47.4

Wanted to improve themselves to be better,

1:50.2

but also wanted to be the best team

1:52.6

who could be to be successful and win trophies.

1:56.3

And obviously, Juergen was a huge part of that

1:58.7

and driving that and the energy, the intensity of training.

2:01.6

And I think that suited Robo.

2:03.6

You know, the wee is as a character, how much energy he likes to give when he's on the pitch and running.

2:07.6

And he's all action, which is very much what Juergen would want.
