The reason I got into networking and relationships was because I thought,

if I can learn how to bring in clients, they'll never fire me from this gig.

Connecting people to each other, build social capital.

It's a muscle. The more you use it, the better those connections are.

When you cultivate who's around you, you're cultivating who you are.

I started my original podcast in my friend's basement during law school.

I had no help with Art of Toronto.

Yes, I was working with other people.

They were not at all interested in the show.

They were interested in picking up girls

and making money.

And for me, that started to get a little sad pretty quick.

I just couldn't be the pickup guy anymore.

It was just killing me.

I'm married. I'm going to start a family soon.
