Rockwell, Daryl Grove, is not with me today because instead I'm joined by Jordan Farrell and Adrease Ardinewal of the Oakland Roots.

Jordan is the team's head coach.

Adrease is one of the team's co-founders and is amongst other things, the chief

marketing officer, but wears many hats. I'm going to guess both of them wearing many hats.

Yeah. So we obviously have lots to discuss. I want to hear about roots, about reopening,

about everything you all have been up to. But I want to start in an

obvious place, which is jazz. Jordan, I listened to an interview you did with Roots Radio where I

believe you said you were in the jazz band or a jazz band. What instrument were you playing? And for people

like myself who would like to like jazz, is there a good entry point? Is there a musician you

usually recommend?

Yeah. So, I mean, you can start with Miles Davis and go from there. That would be my bias

because I was a trumpet player. And I was in quite a few different bands, but Miles Davis is

usually a good entry point.

And then a lot of people can find their niche.

So jazz, for me, everybody's going to listen to it and hear it and feel it in a different way.

So it's each their own.
