Around the same time, officers Ron Walker and Larry Mason returned to the scene, saw John Bode and then searched the home, afterward securing the house.

Shortly after the body was found, John Andrew Ramsey, Melinda Ramsey, and Stuart Long arrived at the Ramsey House in Boulder, Colorado.

Between 130 and 2 p.m., a detective overhears John on the phone. John called a pilot, his pilot, telling him to ready the plane.

This to me is very strange behavior from somebody who has just recovered the body of their six-year-old daughter.

Around 2 p.m., John Ramsey signs a consent form to search the Ramsey home.

They're just touching on that plane call to the pilot for a little bit here. The detectives had to stop John Ramsey from leaving.

The Ramsey family from leaving, telling the Ramsey, hey, you shouldn't go anywhere. We have a murder investigation. The crime scene's your home.

They're not going to tell them this up front and center here, but obviously, there's suspects.

I think the way the Ramsees were actually thinking was, Elena and Georgia, was what they considered her home.

We have this bad thing that happened. We want to get back home. We don't want to be here. We don't want to be in this house.

That does, like you said, hinder them investigation. I don't think that hinder them investigation of the house or the crime scene.

But it hinder them investigation and being able to talk with them adequately.
