Welcome to ID the Future, a podcast about intelligent design and evolution. Greetings, my name is Casey Leskin, and on today's I do the future podcast coming from the Discovery Institute in Seattle, Washington, we have a special

guest with us, Dr. Jonathan Wells, an author of the recent book, The Politically Incorrect

Guide to Darwinism and intelligent design.

Dr. Wells' book has been making quite a splash since it came out, as not only does he talk about

many of the scientific problems and deficiencies of evolution and the evidence for

intelligent design, but as they say he also

names names and gives many interesting anecdotes about both Darwinists and

intelligence-designed proponents in this debate. Today we're going to talk about the scientific revolution

over intelligent design and so I'd like to ask you Dr. Wells some questions about

the scientific revolution. Sure I'd be happy to Casey. Okay Okay, in your book, Dr. Wells, you talk about how we're in the midst of a scientific

revolution over intelligent design.

And so what I want to first ask you is, why do you think we're in a scientific revolution over intelligent design?

Well behind a lot of this conversation will be a classic book by Thomas Kuhn written in the early

1960s called the structure of scientific revolutions and much of what

I'll be saying I take from that book. But one thing he did was describe certain features

of scientific revolutions in the past.

and I see those same features evident in the current struggle between Darwinism and

intelligent design.

So I assume one example that you see is that the Darwinists are opposing intelligent design.

Well, for sure, and the reason they are is because let me clarify what's what the issues are here.

The problem is not evolution, which is a very broad term that can just mean change
