I want to talk to you today about something that is very local for me, though it's gotten

And that is a situation involving the tragic death of a young woman and a Commonwealth's attorney, Steve Descano, backed by George Soros, who has looked the other way consistently when it came to the idea of in any way protecting

the citizens of the county that he represents.

I'm outside the Capitol in Richmond because this is where Cheryl Mentor, the mother of Stephanie

Mentor held a press conference with former Virginia Attorney General Jason Mierrez. Stephanie Mentor was

murdered at a bus stop in Fairfax County, allegedly by an illegal immigrant who has a lengthy

criminal history. This is the man. Fairfax County police warned Commonwealth's attorney Steve

Descanos office about how dangerous he was.

But Descano's office repeatedly let him back out into the community.

Today, the mother of Stephanie Mentor demanded that Governor Abigail Spamberger veto a bill

that is on her desk that would effectively ban local police and sheriffs from working with ICE, which is a policy Fairfax County has.
