I'm Dave Kaven, Senior Fantasy Analyst at RotoViz, joined by the editor-in-chief of Fantasy Labs, part of the Action Network.

Matt Friedman. What's going on, Matt? How are you?

I'm good. I feel like I'm busier now than I actually am most weeks, which feels really wrong and weird,

but I think that's actually the case. But just, you know, happy to be done with 2020, happy to be done with the regular season and looking forward to playoff football.

Nice. Can I ask as to why you are busier than normal? Yeah. So, you know, still doing fantasy projections. So it's not as if there are as many to do, uh, but I still have to do them. Uh, and then still doing, um, you know, like a trends piece, uh, for the early lines. And so because it's, you know, because they're playoff games, uh, and because you don't know in advance what the playoff matchups are going to be,

there's less prep time that you have. Like I can normally like look at a game in advance,

like a week ahead and be like, okay, this team is going to be favored. The spread will

probably be, you know, like two to four points. And if that's the

case, then I like this team. But because we don't know in advance what the playoff matchups are

going to be, all of that work kind of has to be done as quickly as possible right after the lines

are released. But you still want to get the piece live as quickly as possible,

but you also want to cover all of the games on the slate. So it just means that there's a lot of work

that has to be done pretty quickly. And then for the wide receiver and cornerback piece,

this week, I kind of had the dumb idea, although I wasn't the only person who convinced myself of this, but I had the dumb idea of instead of just focusing on the shadow matchups, I would kind of break down the matchups for every game.
