I mean, it's been realistic. If you're a politician you've got to accept people probably don't like you.

I first got to know Johnny a bit when we attended various events together between 2016 and 2019 in my capacity as a number ten advisor and in his capacity as the shadow minister for the city of London.

He was well regarded in the city.

And we shared a bit of commonality about our backstory too.

I was born in 1980 in the coal mining side of England, Buster County, Durham,

traditional labour story and all the family were miners and the brand led was the winding engineman who controlled the lift shaft.

But I do think the job of government of the state is to help people manage change.
