Well, that's the question at the heart of many arguments against the historical authenticity of the Book of Jonah.

Bottom line, is it really true?

Well, in this study on Through the Bible, we'll put that question to the test as Dr. J. Vernon McGee leads us in a search for truth.

But before we begin, let's celebrate Letter Month by sharing a

few updates from our fellow passengers on the Bible bus. First, we hear from a guy named Clay in Houston,

Texas. He wrote this. It was 36 years ago that I walked away from Christ into a world of sex,

I had a crisis of faith, but he's always waiting for me. I stay awake at night, mournful of the

sins I've committed, but when I put my eyes on him, I find rest. Our recent trip on the Bible

bus through Hebrews restored my confidence in his saving work on the cross. It helped me to understand

that I am free indeed. Thanks for that great letter, Clay, and praise God for his grace, really in all

of our lives. Next we've got Rebecca. She's in Knoxville, Tennessee. Now more than ever, I appreciate

your ministry as I feel the urgency of sharing God's word with the world for whom he died. Your studies make

the Bible so clear and the person of Christ so personal. Thank you for the many years I've sat on the

Bible bus with my Bible open. The Holy Spirit has driven the bus along some wonderful roads and Dr. McGee

has been a helpful tour guide, pointing out important vistas along the way. When I began, I was a young
