Folks, it's been a rough year for all of us, but I just discovered a perfect little romantic

comedy, a fable of sorts, really, to help wrap up 2020 on a more cheerful and more hopeful note.

John Patrick Shanley, who created the classic film Moonstruck, brings his sweeping romantic

vision to Ireland with his latest movie, Wild Mountain Time. In the film, Emily Blunt stars as

Rosemary, a headstrong young farmer who has her heart set on winning the love of her neighbor,

Anthony. The problem is, Anthony, played by Jamie Dornan, seems to have inherited a family

curse and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. And just to throw a fly in the

ointment, Anthony's father, played by Christopher Walken, decides to deny him his birthright and

sell the family farm to an American nephew. And wouldn't you know that nephew, Madman's John

Ham, gives Anthony a romantic run for his money, setting his own sights on winning over Rosemary.

This utterly charming movie opens in theaters and on video on demand Friday, December 11,

and today I'm happy to welcome John Ham onto the podcast. He talks about visiting the Emerald
