If like me and you're a fan of Emmy winning actor John Hamm and you happen to see a little show called Madman. You might have had a moment where you saw him early in the show's run where he had to slip out of his paramour

Mitch's apartment, and the police were in the hallways, and he said, well, I've got my disguise.

It was at that moment I thought, this guy could play Fletch.

And so a little while later now, in theaters

and soon on pay-per-view, he'll be playing Fletch in the second of the Fletch books, although the

third of the Fletch movies just confess Fletch. If I've confused people enough, I'll bring in

John Hamm. John, thanks so much you're doing this.

It's my pleasure to be here, sir. It's nice to finally make good on the promise that I

probably made, I don't know, 10 years ago, as we discussed. Oh, at least, but I'm not going to

hold it to you. Thank God. Nobody's recording this. But I did think of that about that moment.

And I don't know if you remember that.

I'm sure it's actually come up with you and other interviews before.

At that moment where Don does that,

I thought, yeah, that's a very fetch kind of a move,

basically sort of playing people's expectations of him

and turning them into something else.

Yes, I agree.

Matthew Weiner on that show, obviously the creator of the show, very, very smart guy,

but also a wildly funny guy and got his start in writing sitcoms, basically.

And so his sense of humor pervaded every frame of our of our show and a show that was

ostensibly very staid and very stoic and very dramatic also had a lot of a lot of humor in it.
