Welcome, everyone, to a throwback Thursday edition of the Sports Spectrum podcast.

Thanks for joining us here as we do every single Thursday.

And we look back at a previous episode here at Sports Spectrum, over 270 plus episodes of the Sports Spectrum podcast, almost 300 episodes now,

which is kind of crazy when we started this journey in March 31st, 2017.

Today we look back at an interview that was a good one that I enjoyed a lot.

It was June 2nd, 2017 with John Gordon, the author and speaker.

John's had so many wonderful books that he's written, including the energy bus, the carpenter,

training camp, the power of positive leadership and the power of a positive team. He's really

making a dent in the industry

from a leadership perspective, from a servanthood perspective, the secret of, you know, that secret

sauce of leadership, which is loving and serving and caring. And John has been a great friend of

mine, a great mentor of mine, and he's really connected in the world of

sports.

Certainly, John is a man of faith as well.

And in this first interview, he's actually been on twice, but in the first interview that

we did with him, June 2nd, 2017, as he was promoting the power of positive leadership,

we talked to him about how he quit the corporate world to follow God's call on his life to speak and to write books.

But even more, the story of how he came to faith growing up as a young Jewish boy in New York City to coming to faith in Jesus Christ, which is a pretty cool story. And that's what
