So when I was born my dad held me in his arms and he said D1 lacrosse player.

It's a true story.

She wasn't much of a lacrosse player but I would encourage her and I would have catches with her and

eventually she started to get better, started to improve and so we would play in the backyard.

I'm like, okay, maybe she can play.

And then she started to get a little bit serious with her across of course because I was driving her to play more and more

and also to practice.

And then I got to a point when she was around middle school

where she was playing, and I was not really encouraging a whole lot. Whenever she would make a mistake I would

actually criticize when she would do something well I would expect it. I

wasn't a great leader. I was the opposite of a purposeful positive leader. I was actually in many ways a

negative leader. Like so much show that she went to her mom and she said I'm done playing I'm quitting.

You know what she wasn't quitting lacrosse she was quitting me and the kind of

leader that I was and so that was a really difficult moment.

My wife said, all right, you're done, I'm taking over,

and let's see what happens.
