And I'm delighted to be joined for this episode by former Northampton town manager John Brady.

John, how you doing?

Very well, thank you. You?

Yeah, I'm good. I'm good. I'm always, I love these interviews because I'm kind of, have always been, but I'm increasingly obsessed with managers

and the way that different head coaches and managers work. And in particular, the way that

we as fans kind of talk about managers and assess managerial performance and how, I guess,

when that's flipped and how people who are in the job and in the dugout feel about it. So I

always enjoy getting the opportunity to speak to people like yourself about the role.

You know, we speak to you obviously, what, six months after you made the decision to leave Northampton Town after a very, you know,

just a brilliant period for the club.

And you left, what's quite rare now, I think, in the modern day,

where you left with your reputation and popularity with a fan base completely intact

and on your own terms.

What was it about, you know, December, 2024 that made you think it was the right time to go?

It was probably not December, 24.
