This episode takes us behind the scenes of director Tycho Waititi's new satirical comedy drama, Jojo Rabbit.

Set during the waning days of World War II, the film tells the story of Jojo, a young boy whose

only friend is an imaginary and idiotic projection of Adolf Hitler.

Eager to join the Nazi party, Jojo's worldview is turned upside down when he discovers

that his mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic.

In addition to Jojo Rabbit, Mr. Waititi's credits include the feature films

Thor Ragnarok, Hunt for the Wilder People, Eagle v. Shark, and What We Do in the Shadows, which he co-directed

with Jermaine Clement, the pilot for the television series What We Do in the Shadows, and episodes

of the series The Mandalorian, The In-B In Betweeners, and Flight of the Concords.

Following a recent screening of the film at the DGA Theater in New York,

Mr. Waititi spoke with director Paul Downs-Colezo about filming Jojo Rabbit.
