back and all eyes are on the House as Speaker Mike Johnson's self-described, quote-unquote,

righteous idea to pair a six-month funding bill with the SaveVE Act is on the brink of imploding.

We've been talking about this on the podcast for the past several days.

The challenges that this proposal was expected to have as Johnson rolled it out.

The idea that he wanted a longer-term government funding package as well as pairing it with the SAVE Act

was going to have opposition, was going to be a challenge to say the least. And now we see

opposition to the measure ranges from hardline conservatives in the House to freedom caucus

members, to defense

hucks to moderates. That is certainly a coalition of members that without peeling away some of those

folks, Johnson's going to have a very hard time right now. Every move he makes to pick up votes in

one place, loses him votes elsewhere.

Let's just go through a few of the members who are signaling that they are alarmed, concerned, or would not vote for this package.

That includes House Armed Services Chair Mike Rogers, the Republican from Alabama, who said the bill would
