The Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard Trial Week 3 has concluded. Johnny Depp has finished his testimony and his case is rounding towards its close, the end of Depp’s testimony was powerful, “Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, I Johnny Depp, a man, I too am a victim of domestic violence”, Amber Heard. Depp responded, “I said ‘Yes, I am”. It was powerful testimony that will likely be remembered as the key piece of testimony from Week 3. But it wasn’t the only powerful testimony, Dr. Shannon Curry, forensic psychologist, testified to diagnosing Amber Heard with Borderline Personality Disorder and Histrionic Personality Disorder. We also got colorful testimony from Alejendaro Romero who testified about not seeing injuries on Heard, and how stressful the case has been for him then, finally, he vapped and drove off. Welcome back to this week's episode of the Emily show for another trial roundup.

0:05.5

This time we are doing week three of the Johnny Depp Amber herd defamation trial that is

0:11.4

still taking place in Virginia. We have about three weeks of trial left if everything stays

0:16.0

according to schedule and it seems like it's going to. By the time this comes out, it will be

0:20.0

May 4th, so May the 4th be with you. And we will be a few days in two week four of the trial,

0:27.2

but I will again be covering that during the week four roundup. And I cover that daily on my

0:32.7

social media accounts and my QuickBits YouTube channel. So if you want to see just, you know,

0:39.8

minute long snippets, you can follow me over on Instagram at the Emily Debaker on QuickBits.

0:45.9

And that's where you can get like a daily roundup. And sometimes I try to do a morning and an

0:50.2

afternoon roundup of the most important testimony as I saw it as we go along. If you don't want to

0:55.9

wait for the weekly roundup each Wednesday here on the Emily show. And because it is a podcast

1:02.1

episode, we like to start with a quote. We don't always get to it. But during this trial,

1:06.8

there's going to be plenty of things that are quotable. And no, I'm not going to make a quote about

1:11.0

muffins or spoiled teenage children. We're going to get to that within the episode though, because this

1:16.0

week gave us a lot of memeable moments. But there was a moment in cross examination where Johnny Depp said,

1:24.2

I think somewhat poignantly, the only person I've ever abused is myself. And we'll see what the

1:31.2

jury believes at the end of this trial. Because the heart of this defamation suit is, does the jury

1:36.6

believe that Amber heard was abused or does the jury believe that she was lying? And if she was

1:42.4

lying, then Johnny Depp's lawyer didn't frame her when she said this was a hoax. And we got a lot

1:47.9

of testimony from Johnny Depp's side about that in this week's episode. So let's just roll the

1:57.2

intro and get right into it. Hey there. Welcome to the Emily show. I'm your host, Emily Debaker,

2:03.6

badass lawyer, and everyone's favorite legal commentator breaking down the legal shit in the news
