I just wanted to just tag along with everybody.

I just don't know why Breslo and ownership just doesn't want to spend the money on anything.

I mean, ownership has just been hard on this team.

They just want to go the easy way out.

They thought they made a big splash with Sunny Gray.

I liked Sunny Gray when he was with the Oakland Athletics.

Now they're the athletics.

If they would have got them 10 years ago, that would have been great.

I just wanted you guys' thoughts on ownership and where this team stands as of December 11th. Well, I mean, given the last off season, it's not like they're necessarily cheap. Like, that's the easy thing to paint that broad brush, like John Henry's cheap. And I'm no fan of Red Sox ownership. No, they just have a new, they have a new philosophy. It sucks, but they run it like a mid-market operation now. Now, if you want to call that cheap fine, they spend money. They just have restrictions on how they spend money now. Exactly, yeah. So look, again, and to me, this has resulted in a lower payroll, at least as it pertains to everybody else. So it used to be that they were in the top five of payroll all the time. Now they're barely in the top 10 if they're in it at all. So I understand people's connection to the two, and I'm not telling you that they're spending the way they used to because at the end of the day, it's all relative to the field. So if there are people out spending you and they're in the division, then they want to win more than you do.

Yeah, I mean, the glory days are over. And the glory days, as we all know, the competition would continue into the offseason. Again, some of those that you were mentioning in Mass's tears, missing out on Mark DeShare, missing on an Alex Rodriguez. That competition would be, you know, it would feel as heated as it did,

kind of on the field as it did in the offseason when they were neck and neck with the Yankees.
