0:00.0	Hey, everybody, it's Matt. This is the 10-minute Bible Hour podcast, and I don't know if you've
0:21.6	heard about this or not, but there's sort of a fight going on in my country, the United States of
0:27.7	America. There are people who kind of think all one blob of ideas, and there are kind of people
0:33.3	who think all another blob of ideas. And without speaking to the merits of either of those blobs of
0:39.9	ideas, it's all been pretty simply boiled down to, if you think one of these things, you kind of
0:45.8	need to think all of these things from your team's idea blob. And then when you go on the internet,
0:50.8	you say things at people from the other idea blob, and that way everybody
0:56.9	knows which idea blob team you are on. Well, every now and then, somebody comes along,
1:02.9	and they don't play, this is don't participate in the idea blob mob game, and that really
1:10.0	bothers the people who are in the fight and make a living on the fight and who think the fight is truth and is the point of everything and to view the fight through the lenses of my blob good, your blob, bad, people in my blob, ethical, people in your blob, bad, people who do dirty things but help my blob, forgivable.
1:30.2	People who do dirty things but help your blob, unforgivable. So when these wild card characters
1:36.3	come along in society who don't say anything about political stuff at all, they just do stuff,
1:43.7	and a lot of times these people are artists, musicians,
1:47.7	actors, maybe athletes. And it seems like they're running this calculation to me when I look at
1:52.9	them where they're like, uh, if I get sucked into the idea blob fight, I only get to talk to half of the
2:00.6	people, but I want all of the people to like my
2:06.0	thing or at least potentially be a customer. So I'm just not going to do that. Well, it seems
2:14.0	infinitely logical, right? Like you remember the famous Michael Jordan saying when people
2:18.2	were mad at him for not representing certain causes hard enough. And he said, well, even people
2:23.3	from this other political party, even they buy shoes, that was his famous quote. Some people
2:28.7	still don't like him over that. Other people are like, that's pretty shrewd. Well, a few such
2:33.7	characters have come along
