This is the 10 minute Bible Hour podcast, and we are talking today and yesterday and probably tomorrow about this hugely important fourth movement of the prologue in John chapter one, where it talks about God taking on flesh and making his dwelling among us. Specifically, it goes like this.
0:39.0	John 1.14, the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We've seen his glory, the glory of
0:45.5	the one and only son who came from the father full of grace and truth. As we were discussing
0:51.6	yesterday, this is, this fourth movement is made all the more remarkable
0:55.6	by how big the pump up is in the first three movements. The word, the Lagos, Jesus, he is
1:03.5	God. That's movement number one. Movement number two, the word, the Lagos, Jesus, he is responsible for all of creation. Nothing that has been made,
1:15.8	was made apart from him. Movement number three, the word, the Lagos, Jesus is the light of the world.
1:23.7	He is the revelation of truth to all humankind. And after all of that gigantic pump-up,
1:30.2	to show us just how far above us and different and better that God is, then you get shocking
1:37.6	movement number four, which is, yeah, you got all that stuff? Well, guess what? That God became flesh and
1:43.7	made his dwelling among us.
1:45.1	Among us? But we live in ancient times and we always, always, always have mud on our robes and
1:51.9	everything smells like poop and we don't have modern sewage and a bunch of us don't read so good.
1:59.0	Then among us, like with our goats and our sheep and stuff? Yes,
2:04.9	among us right into the middle of our human mess, whatever age of the human mess we happen to be a part of,
2:12.5	yep, that God is present with us. Specifically, Jesus, God in the flesh was physically present at this
2:20.4	moment in time that John writes about and God's presence remains with us now during the age of the
2:27.7	Holy Spirit. I was telling you yesterday, this whole concept of God dwelling among us, I mean, it would be huge if the Bible
2:37.2	started at John 1 just because of the setup I just gave you. I mean, that's plenty. But when you
2:42.3	consider all this stuff here, this, all those, I'm not doing a good job of turning the pages,
2:49.8	all that stuff, then god's presence being
2:53.3	among us is i mean it's even huger now clear back in a season i did a while ago on the book of
