So I wasn't especially surprised when the mutual friend told me Joe.

Big Joe was fresh in from Europe with a pile of dough and ideas just as big.

Joe King.

Joe was in town looking for me.

I'd never particularly cotton to Joe, but the mutual friend gave me the hotel.

He told me to call. Drink, smoke, name it, take what you want, take a seat. Open house, uh, Joe. Ah, King. King, uh, still with that, huh? King, yeah, sure of a name. Is that my name, King? It's also it. Hooch. Yeah.

Promise? Smoke. Mm-hmm. Fill your pockets. Drink, smoke. Be happy, happy, kid. Now, sit. Anything you want? Sure. Hungry, steak? Want me to send out for a sirloid? Rolling out the rug, huh? Ha. For you, you anytime. Sure. Sure. Sit. All I can say is Uh-huh

I'm sure. For you, you anytime, sure, sure, sit. All I can say is... Uh-huh. It ought to happen more often. Sure. Only, uh... What's all this going to cost me? Cost? What are you after?
