Hollywood Reporters Awards Podcast.

I'm the host Scott Feinberg and this is our first episode,

post-Oscors.

So you might wonder how this is going to work.

Well, the long and short of it is that we are going to continue this

through the Tony and Emmy seasons that make up the other half of the year and also continue to bring in interesting people from the world of film.

So there's going to be a lot of variety and that's great.

Today my guest is someone who's only 52 years old but he's already

a bona fide TV icon. Good luck finding someone who doesn't know or love John

Stamos who is best known for his role as Uncle Jesse on the beloved sitcom Full House, which was part of ABC's

TGIF lineup from 1987 through 1995. He's also been a regular with the Beach Boys for decades,

a prolific actor on Broadway, and a reliable

leading man on TV. Postful House, he appeared in a number of series which had

varying degrees of success, including a very memorable three-year stint on ER.

Along the way he developed a passion for producing and has guided to fruition numerous projects for both himself and for others.

Over the past few months, viewers have discovered two series that he was instrumental in

bringing to life as an executive producer and in which he also acts.

The first released just a few weeks ago in February is Netflix's Fuller House, a spinoff of Full House

in which Stamos and most of the other stars of that original series reunite.

The second, which debuted last fall on Fox and received a full season pickup not long thereafter is grandfathered, in which

Stemos plays a middle-aged bachelor who is shocked to learn one day that he has not only a child
