Bury Boys History Live is a storytelling cabaret of all true tales and spellbinding secrets

from the past, brought to you by a rotating roster of the city's greatest historians.

And for this show, I'm bringing with me a premier lineup of special guests, including

author Elizabeth L. Block, author and tour guide Keith Tallien from Keith

York City, and the Gilded Gentleman himself, Carl Raymond. The show's theme, Gilded Age, Golden Girls,

a night of storytelling with the late 19th century's most fascinating characters at its center.

The great painter John Singer-Sargent has duly earned his reputation as one of the great

painters and chroniclers of the late 19th century

in America, France, and Britain, Sergeant had an innate and undisputed natural talent, which he then

honed as he matured as an artist. In 1874, John Singer Sargent arrived in Paris in his late

teenage years with his family to begin his

formal art training. In over a little more than the decade that he was based in Paris, he grew

artistically and personally, and much of that evolution can be seen in the wide range of works
