Folks is the Eric Matex's show. I have the joy of being here in the studio with my friend from Connecticut, the Reverend John Rankin John once again welcome back.

Good afternoon or morning or evening depending with people.

I know people listen to this all the time. A lot of people say I listen to you when I'm falling asleep at night.

And I don't ask any further questions. But and then the tons of people that listen to it live.

You know, because we're on from two to four. But many of the stations around America do not carry us at that moment like as soon as we go live.

So you know, some people can hear us right now and other people will hear us later. Anyway, I want to talk to you.

What last time you have a trilogy of books and I believe a trilogy means three.

Usually. Okay. So they're very it's very rare that a trilogy involves four objects. Very rare. In fact, it's so rare. It's not worth mentioning.

So we've got a trilogy of three books. The first one is Jesus. No, the six pillars of biblical power.

The six pillars of honest politics. But today we're talking about Jesus in the face of his enemies.

I don't think that the comma is necessary after Jesus. It's overwhelmingly necessary. I don't know if that's true.

According to my purposes, Jesus as a standalone comma in the face of his enemies. It's it's it's for emphasis.

I'll let it go. No further questioning. Okay. So so Jesus in the face of his enemies by Joe.

It's my grammatical liberty. Right. Jesus in the face of his enemies. Okay. What is this book about Jesus in the face of his enemies?

Okay. Let me set it up for a very quickly. And our last two shows we talked about the first book, the six pillars of biblical power is what I call biblical theology 101 or biblical ethics 101.

The second book, the six pillars of honest politics is taking those ethics and putting them into the political landscape.

The third one is how do we do it? Okay. So the theory is. So this is the how this is this is the how Jesus did it and Jesus did it.

So let me set up for you a couple of theological backgrounds. Very briefly. We've talked about them before, but I'll put them in context here and then want to go to Matthew chapter 21.
