Since it's the last day of the year, we're going to get a little serious. I was telling you, Chris Himes, and you,

Albin, Seder, of the passing of our friend John Rankin. One of the most bizarre things, and I think

I said this on the air last week, I can't remember,

but there are very few things in a way that challenged my faith where I am completely unable to

process something, and I have to really just exercise my faith radically because when somebody dies, especially if they know the God of

the Bible, I can say, I know they're in a better place. That's putting it unbelievably mildly.

For people who love Jesus, it's a homecoming. It's a glorious, glorious thing. And it's only for people who love Jesus, it's a homecoming.

And it's only for people who aren't clear on that, that it is so troubling and so weird

and confusing.

But when John Rankin passed away at age 67 last week on Christmas Day. It was challenging to me for a number of

reasons. First of all, how he died. This was a man who very heroically struggled with diabetes
