Today we're going to take a look at NT Wright in his confrontation with John Piper.

It's going to be a lot of fun. Let's dive in.

As many of you know, I've just recently been turned on to NT Wright.

I'm somewhat familiar with his writings and what was called the quote-unquote new perspective of Paul.

You know, I touched on it a little bit here and there through some of my studies,

but it wasn't until Dr. Harwood,

my mentoring professor at New Orleans, mentioned about how his interpretation and what he has

expounded upon through Romans very much lines up with the arguments I've been making on the

podcast and in the debate. And so that, of course, made me very interested. So I've, I've picked up several of his books and

start reading through them. And it does appear, from my perspective, we've been reading the same

male. And, of course, his with the IQ of about three or four times higher than mine. And, you know,

like I've said before, you add the British accent to that,

and then that even increases the IQ level even higher.

But I've really come to respect and love reading NT rights work,

which largely, like I think I mentioned in the last podcast, he uses very much hermeneutics of going back to the first century and really unpacking first century Judaism.

What does that look like?

What does that mean?

Which is exactly what I've been doing with the discussion we had over John 6, really looking into Romans 9 as well.

And the Calvinistic response is exactly the same kind of response that I'm just now discovering between the conversations between NT Wright and John Piper. And I want you to hear those for yourself.
