was Wayne Murdoch's 2020 biography of John, The Mystery of the Handsome Man, the Double

Life of John Lamprear Irvine. So to quickly give you some context for who John is, John was involved in two incidents

where he was accused of soliciting sex from another man and ended up in court.

And Murdoch found John by searching for gay related content in Trove, which is an Australian

website, which digitizes, among other things,
